Japanese in name only – this is a classic cocktail that was invented by Professor Jerry Thomas who is considered the grandfather of the bartending world. Thomas’ would name his cocktail as such, because he was inspired by the first Japanese representatives to the United Nations who were staying near his bar. This delightful drink brings a sweet and sour note to the Mansion House French Brandy, thus making it an exceptional cocktail that no one could pass up.
