A classic, endearing mix of the Mansion House French Brandy with orange liqueur and lemon juice. The story of the sidecar is that it was invented at the end of World War 1 in either London or Paris. The name “sidecar” refers to the motorcycle attachment, which was very common during that time. A dry cocktail, the sidecar is an ideal drink to pair with appetisers or as an after-dinner drink..

Cocktail ingredients

  • 50ml Mansion House French Brandy
  • 25ml Triple Sec
  • 35ml fresh lemon juice
  • Orange slice

Combine

Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a large handful of ice.

Shake

Hold the shaker with both hands and shake until cool.

Step 3

Strain

Strain the drink into a cocktail glass without ice.

Garnish

Attach the orange slide to the side of the glass.
