Ms. Aparna Praveen Chaturvedi holds MBA in Finance from University of Lucknow and has also received coveted Chevening Scholarship at Manchester Business School. She is having industry experience of more than 35 years with Financial Institutions viz. UTI AMC Ltd. (Mutual Fund), ASREC (Asset Reconstruction Company) and PICUP (State Financial Corporation). She has been member of various committees constituted by Ministry of Finance, Association of ARCs, etc. She is having vast experience in fund management (domestic and offshore funds), raising offshore funds, resolution & reconstruction of non-performing and stressed assets, project appraisal & financing, credit rating, private equity investments, corporate insolvency, equity research, marketing of mutual fund products and sales resources training etc.
Ms. Swapna Shah holds Masters in Business Administration from University of Missouri and has also studied International Business Management from Kellogg School of Management – Evanston, IL. She is a result oriented, persuasive and tenacious professional having three decades of experience in business development, strategy, marketing, offer management, end to end solutions, supply chain, operations and quality with an ability to understand and relate to evolving business landscape to deliver results in various roles. She has also held leadership positions with organizations viz. Lucent Technologies (USA), Alcatel-Lucent (USA), Alcatel-Lucent India Limited and Nokia. She has also worked as a Business Partner with U.S. Telecom (USA) and Internat Chemicals & Allied Products, Inc. (USA).
Today, under the leadership of the current Chairman and Managing Director Shri Amit A Dahanukar, TI has still retained the values that have well served the company since its founding days. TI has evolved to become a name to reckon within the Indian alcoholic beverages industry characterised by a robust portfolio of brands and a loyal and growing customer base. TI is steadily pursuing every opportunity to benefit its employees, consumers and the community.
The company’s growth in size has been augmented by increasing responsibility towards sustainable initiatives.
Shri Amit Dahanukar is focused on building a business that is not just financially viable, but also environmentally sound and socially responsible. To this end, TI has several initiatives in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility focusing mainly on Health, Education, Sponsorships, Environment and Community Development.
Shri Arun D Dahanukar was the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of The Maharashtra Sugar Mills Ltd. Having graduated from IIT, Powai in Electrical Engineering and having acquired a distinction in his MS from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, Shri Arun Dahanukar had a very illustrious academic life. He joined the Board as a Director of the Company in April, 1968. Three years later, in April, 1971, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director. It was in 1978 that he was elevated to Vice-Chairman of the company and on January 1, 1983 he became Managing Director.
With a vibrant mind, astute alertness, and keen flair, he spearheaded the formation and subsequent growth of TI(Tilaknagar Industries Ltd.)
It was under the vigilant eye and the rigorous discipline of his father, Babasaheb Dahanukar that Shri Dattatreya M Dahanukar got his training. After six years of working his way up the corporate rungs of the establishment, Shri Dattatreya Dahanukar was first appointed to serve on the Board in 1939. In 1946, he was appointed Joint Managing Director of the Managing Agency Company. From 1951 he assumed full stewardship of TI. After nearly four decades of serving as Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Dattatreya Dahanukar laid down office in 1980.
In 1973 the non-sugar assets of MSM were reallocated and led to the formation of Tilaknagar Distilleries and Industries. At Tilaknagar Distilleries, the by-product of sugar cane viz., molasses, were initially used to make a smooth transition into the liquor industry. A radical change in the Government’s policies in the 1980’s helped the company become one of the India’s premier distilleries. Both Maharashtra Sugar Mills Ltd and Tilaknagar Distilleries & Industries Ltd were amalgamated to form one company. The new company named TI (Tilaknagar Industries Ltd. took effect in August 6, 1993. We have thus come a long way, from making sugar then to now manufacturing sugar cubes, chemicals and liquor.
Shri Mahadev L Dahanukar respectfully and affectionately known as Babasaheb Dahanukar, was greatly inspired by the noted freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and had a vision based on his beliefs. Babasaheb’s vision led to the formation of Maharashtra Sugar Mills (MSM) in 1933, forever changing the face of the Indian sugar industry. The rapid economic growth and environmental friendly methods led to the birth of TI (Tilaknagar Industries).
TI has its roots in the values and efforts of Babasaheb Dahanukar. His inspiration from Lokmanya Tilak led him to name the mother factory complex ‘Tilaknagar’ as a mark of respect for his friend, philosopher and guide. At the time, the company was engaged in the process of manufacturing sugar. It was an era where essential commodities were highly priced, due to the lack of indigenous manufacturing facilities. The efforts of Babasaheb and the subsequent leadership of the Dahanukar family saw TI grow into Maharashtra’s first private sugar factory which served the nation successfully for nearly five decades. In fact, TI still holds the unfailing record of paying dividend for more than 50 years.

Mr. S. Balakumar is a graduate in Commerce and holds a Masters Degree in Business Finance from Indian Institute of Finance, New Delhi. He has over 24 years of experience in various sectors.
Mr. Shankar Pawar is a Chartered Accountant and has 14 years of experience in the areas of accounts, finance and taxation across various sectors.
Mr. Rajesh Agrawal is a graduate in Humanities and has over 34 years of experience in IMFL industry. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of sales and distribution in the liquor industry.
Mr. C. R. Ramesh has 36 years of experience in liquor manufacturing operations.
Mr. Ashish Choudhury is a graduate in Humanities from the Bengaluru University and has 38 years of experience in sales in different locations with leading IMFL companies.
Ms. Ranjita Kumari is a Chartered Accountant and has 20 years of experience in Taxation and Accounts.
Mr. Ajit Sirsat is a Chartered Accountant and Cost & Management Accountant having 24 years of experience in Finance and Accounts across industries.
Mr. Gaurav Thakur is a Company Secretary and Cost & Management Accountant and a post-graduate in Commerce, having over 18 years of experience in secretarial and legal functions across various sectors.
Mr. Sharma is MPhil from JNU, New Delhi and holds a degree of Executive Master of Business Administration from AIM, Manila and has over 27 years of experience across various sectors.
Col. Bineet Walia is a former Colonel of the Indian Army and brings with him vast experience of formulating strategies, managing operations and multifarious activities. He has a Masters in Management Science and Masters in Strategic Studies (International Relations). He specializes in Institutional Sales and Marketing.
Mr. Benedict William holds a Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics & Farm Management and a Diploma in Business Management and comes with over 35 years of experience in Sales in liquor industry.
Mr. Srijit Mullick is both, a Chartered Accountant and Cost & Management Accountant and comes with over 39 years of experience spread over different financial management areas with specialization in mergers and acquisitions, fund raising, accounts, treasury, costing and taxation in different reputed companies including Shaw Wallace and Company Ltd. and the Essel Group.
Maj Gen Dilawar Singh(retd.) is triple post graduate and an alumni of Chennai University, Devi Ahilya University, Osmania University and IIM Indore. He has a unique distinctions of having been the Head of the Largest Youth Organisation of the Government of India ( NYKS ) and has initiated hundreds of new innovations for youth development and empowerment. He has been involved with Capital Procurement, Planning, Execution and financing of major procurements for the India Army. Presently, he is advising the industry on Defence, Homeland Security, Youth Affairs, Sports and New Technologies.
Mr. Satish Chand Mathur is a 1981-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Prior to joining the Company, he was serving as Maharashtra’s Director General of Police. He earlier headed the Maharashtra’s anti-corruption bureau (ACB) for three months. He also served as Commissioner of Police, Pune from March 2014 to April 2015. Between October 2002 and October 2012, he served as Director, Air India and was instrumental in restructuring of the airline’s finances and introduction of austerity measures. He also acted as Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation.
Mr. Kishorekumar G. Mhatre is a graduate in Law from the Government Law College, University of Mumbai. He is an Advocate having over threedecades of experience in the legal profession (matters relating to litigation-commercial & constitution, arbitrations, writ petitions, criminal proceedings & application, copyrights, co-operative banks and cooperative societies, public trusts, IPC – drafting & ling complaints, Consumer Protection Act, Information Technology Act, Essential Commodities Act, National Green Tribunal Act, Anti Corruption Act and Enforcement Directorate matters, among others). He is also af liated to various social, nancial and educational organizations/ institutions in the capacity of trustee/legal advisor/ secretary.
A post-graduate in Economics, Mr. C.V. Bijlani started his career as a Lecturer in Economics before joining banking industry. He possesses over ve-decades of experience in banking and finance (project finance, capital structuring, merchant banking, investment banking, forex, mergers and acquisitions, industrial rehabilitation, joint ventures, external commercial borrowings, among others). He has held senior positions both with State Bank of India and IndusInd Bank. He was awarded Udyog Gaurav Award in 1992 by All India Organizational Entrepreneurial Confederation for his contribution to the financial sector.
Dr. Ravindra Bapat is an Emeritus Professor, Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Seth G. S. Medical College and K.E.M Hospital, Parel, Mumbai.
Mrs. Shivani Amit Dahanukar has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. She is also a graduate in Law from the Government Law College, University of Mumbai. She spearheads the community welfare activities of the Group in the fields of nutrition, primary education and healthcare.
Mr. Amit Dahanukar is a graduate in Electrical Engineering with a Masters degree in Engineering Management from Stanford University, U.S.A. He provides strategic direction for TI’s future initiatives and is also responsible for its various alliances and collaborations.
